I was gifted a growler of what was supposed to be a growler of Columbus IPA, but its got British malts everywhere.
The smell has a touch of earthy hops to balance out the sweet malt body. A bit strong for a British Pale, but thats my inner DING talking.
The taste is nice and balanced. The earthy hops really do come to the front of what is a nice and balanced British Pale. Marris Otter malts really take over here, and its not a bad thing. Touches of corn and adjunct grains hide in the background.
If it werent for the ABV, this thing woud be drinkable. I think they could have done alot to lower the ABV on this one. That ABV kind of strings the tongue, leaving this bitter feeling that Im not fond of.

What a great looking brew- cloudy golden pale ale with a huge, thick cloudy white head. Very creamy mouthfeel and smooth- you can definately tell it was cask-conditioned. There are aromas of earthy hops and light malts, some fruits. Hops are big and there to stay- a little oily but they finish dry and linger on the tongue. Squeaky clean mouthfeel despite the malts which attempt to fight off the clean hop profile. Very easy going down and highly refreshing. Easily one of Stewart's most sessionable brews that still retains a lot of flavor.
