Review # 1,500...take 2.
This is the Stumblin' Monk aged in bourbon barrels. It was bottled in July, 2006.
Much thanks to egajdzis who finally decided to break this out of his cellar since getting one of these rarities not too long ago.
Appears a transparent gold with a small white head that slowly fades out into a mild cap. Spotty lacing is left around the glass.
Smell is of coconut, vanilla, peach, pineapple, mango, and citrus.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas with tropical fruit salad, and vanilla standing out in a luscious flavor that I find addictive.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, lightly acidic, with tropical fruit and vanilla lingering in the aftertaste.
I loved this beer and hope that it finds a way to me again.
