an IPA hopped with only Nugget
a: deep amber in color, well-retained khaki head, lace clings to the walls of the pint
s: pungent pine hops hover above grainy caramel, grapefruit, somewhat sweet but more than adequately balanced, on the rustic side, full nose, I like
m: medium carbonation and a body on the lighter side of medium
t: huge, sappy pine hop flavors carried on the clean caramel malt body, natural and grainy, big grapefruit bitterness in the long finish, very satisfying and highly enjoyable, torn on the score here...just nips the 4.5 bump so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt
d: the first went down easy, but the second took some work...still, a fine ipa
props to beermapping for leading me here

I had this on tap today at lunch. It was poured into a shaker pint, deep, clear copper color, thin sticky white head. The smell was deep citrus with a hint of pine. The flavor was heavy on grapefruit with a bit of sweet pine, the finish was lingering and pleasantly bitter. The mouthfeel was somewhat sticky, and this body was very full, more like a DIPA than an IPA. The brew went down too easy, hiding its 7.7% abv. Try this one if you get a chance.
