Stopped here after the Maine Lakes Brewfest, hoping for more of their Scotch Ale. They didn't have that, but the Oktoberfest was in cask, so I had a couple of them. Very good beer.
In a pint glass the beer was a hazy amber color with a thick white head that persisted all the way down.
Caramel malt aroma, some spice.
Caramel taste mostly, a bit of nutmeg.
The spice made for a bit of sharpness in the mouthfeel, but still an enjoyable beer.
