On-tap at Bray's One Night Stand in a 5oz taster.

Pours a dark reddish brown color with some head and great lacing, pretty hazy looking.

Smell is malty with a dark fruit aspect, bit of a sourish aroma.

Taste is similar to the smell is that it's very malty and rich with a decent sourish backbone to it, slight smoke presence, but it's really the slight sour presence that makes it stand out. The strength, if it's still 9.2% (unlikely), is very well hidden.

I'm afraid this bier did nothing at all for me. Sampled it with high expectations, but let down bigtime. Poured a cloudy, dark brown color, but with no head to speak of. Nose had an off, rancid, sulphur-like quality to it. Body was a bit less than medium, and mouthfeel was medium, at best. Taste had some malt in there, but was overwhelmed by a strong, sourish character. Things were just not there with this bier.
