this is better than its ratings, im not about to make it out to be something epic, its still a very american take on belgian beer with overly familiar yeast leading the show and somewhat of a lack of belgian level refinement, but the beer is thirst quenching, flavorful, and unoffensive, approachable for something yeast forward. its golden honey colored, lightly cloudy but still with some brightness, and an average white head on tap from the source. a few things to note here, one is that it must be made with ginger, i get a hint of almost candied real ginger to it, sort of powdered ginger too, seems more obvious and pronounced than just a yeast ester, and it goes great in both nose and flavor with the apparent citrus from the yeast and the bit of residual sugar left in this, doesnt hit like a normal witbier overall, but i like what it does. orange, pineapple, toasted spice including white pepper and coriander, lemonade without the acidity, honey for sure, definite wheat malt in here beefing up the body to handle all this flavor too, and i like it being low alcohol. although i think it could be fermented down drier and just tad stronger for better drinkability. it warms up on the dge of phenolic, but there is a ton of flavor in this. inventive with the ginger element, decently well executed for being kind of old school and first wave to me. this place is fun, low key, and like a lot of their beers, underrated...

On tap at the brewery. This was the worst of the flight, ultra bland, watery. Not much taste or aroma, no body to speak of. Slice of orange added nothing to it either. Looking at the ratings, not sure if this batch was bad, but it was truly bad.
