Sampler courtesy of Toby. Medium amber pour, small, spotty head. Malty aroma and taste, light peaty notes, caramel. earthy, musty. Not too shabby overall.

Aroma is dark fruit laced caramel malt with a touch of mild spice. Dark amber body with a diminishing tan head. Smoothe fruit tinged caramel malt in the fore. A bit watery tasting though the mouthfeel is about right. Some faint candy notes in the finish, but mostly just a smooth malty treat.

Medium dark brown color, medium head. A medium bodied winter style ale. Slightly roasted malts, slightly sweet. Mild hops. Nice simple flavor. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is smooth. Aftertaste is slightly malty. Nice beer. Simple, but very well made. Gold medal winner at GABF

On the pour, a murky brown, modest head, fair lace, both a light chocolate brown color. Malt dominates the nose, caramel, crisp and clean, also somewhat earthy. Start is sweet; top is light to moderate in mouth feel, astringent, scarcely hopped, the aftertaste malt and dry. Interesting, can't say I would like to be stuck with it all winter, but drinkable nonetheless.
