This beer came out a deep dark brown with wisps of ruby on the edges. A thin tan head rests on top, but leaves little to no lacing. Smells sweet like molasses, toasted brown sugar, and some yeasty tones. The mouth is creamy and smooth. Carbonation level is medium. The flavor is interesting. I see that have brewed alot of different Brown Ales, but according to their menu they fermented this one with some Belgian yeast. I can sense that right away. If there was such a thing as a Belgian Brown, this is it. There's a sweet quality in there as well, but it is faint and is overpowered by the yeast presence. I like what they did with the style, but it's a little different, and therefore, it's only one for me.
