This beer came from growler that was given to me as a present. It was a few days old and lost much of it's head and carbonation.
Besides that the beer poured out a very dark ruby brown to almost black color. It had a very nice aroma of roasted nuts, fruit, bittersweet chocolate and fresh roasted coffee. Light in body, yet the taste was very flavorful and complex. I got some grassy hop notes that merged well with the roasted flavors. Easy drinking and very enjoyable. This was a treat.

This is one fabulous porter that we stumbled across durning our honeymoon in the Outer Banks. This si a great place to visit, and this is, in my opinion, the signature brew aside from the Kolsch. A deep and dark yet luscious to drink beer that is excellent from start to finish! Prost!

This beer starts off with a huge, everlasting tan head. Nice creamy, velvety mouthfeel. Average porter malt but interesting butter flavor that I'm assuming comes from the molasses.
