Pours out of a tall can with a sweet dark orange color with lots of streaming bubbles and bubbles sticking to the side of the glass. The head is a nice retentive bone white that leaves some very nice lacing down the glass.

Smell is a hoppy citrus nasal bomb. There is even some mustiness coming through.

Taste is a sweet malty beer with a nice hop presence. There is some citrus coming through as well. However there was a bit of a strange metallic taste in the background.

Mouth borders on medium with a pretty dry finish.

Overall this is a nice citrus IPA. With more folks making these citrus IPA's it seems as if there are a lot of choices for someone looking for a bit of citrus with their IPA. Horny Goat brings a nice offering to the table for those seeking a citrus IPA. With 69 IBU's and a 6.8% ABV this may be what you were looking for.

I was disappointed in their Hopped Up + Horny IPA, tho I loved their sense of humor, and agree with the sentiment. Happens to me all the time. This beer is one of the better fruit infused IPAs I've tasted, and is better than its BA reviews.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a wine glass.

Appearance: A bright orange color with a small white head with fat bubbles that lasts but only laces a tad.
S: Very big citrus aroma with a hop backdrop. Tingly and inviting. Original.
Taste: Just the right balance of tangerine juice mixed with hops. Some fresh cut wet wood, palm hearts, citrus candy.
Feel: A medium bodied beer with lots of carbonation. Despite the juiice, offers a dry finish.
Overall: One of the best fruit beers I have ever had, up there with fruit sculpins.

L: Pours a translucent light rose gold with a white two finger head that recedes slowly. Decent lacing.

S: The smell is not overly impressive to me. There is definitely some tangerine in there but it almost smells like peaches too. Like the ripe ones that come in a can. Hops come through too but mildly.

T: Taste is a mild hop/tangerine/peach as well. There is a big citrus aftertaste in here too. It's very drinkable for a 6.8 and not boozy at all. A fairly sweet beer.

F: Well balanced carbonation with a wet finish.

Overall this was a nice one to try but it wouldn't be a go to for me. It would be great for someone not into beer as it's very sweet and fruity (as expected of course).

The color looks thick, almost orange, slightly transparent but not completely. The head was formed thick with beautiful lacing and it stuck around to party didn't die down to quickly. Smelled briefly hoppie with a ninja citrus smell that just sunk in there on ya. Wasn't the most pungent beer I have smelled as of late. It felt think in my mouth neither the hops or the citrus was overwhelming nor were they as intense as I wanted. The overall feel was fantastic but lacked in the department of flavor and intensity of said flavor.

A thanks to the commander of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of light tangerine, litle else. Taste is tangerine peels, grapefruit, light bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, lacks the hop punch I expect from this style, but still is a pretty good beer.

Loved this one at first taste, but became a little too sweet by the end. More like a radler. Sweet citrus and floral hops, finishes with a hint of bitter. The sweetness became just a little too much to continue with another at that time though.

Would drink again: Yes
Would purchase again: No

I love the Horny Goat! The graphics are humorous, plus they translate really well onto the CANs and the price point is usually low enough that even if the beer isn't all that great, Buyer's Remorse really does not apply. I purchased this CAN from my neighbors at Queen Garden Six Pack & Restaurant in furtherance of The CANQuest (tm).

From the CAN: "Carefully Crafted Famously Fun."; "This citrus bomb starts off as a light bodied IPA brewed with craft hops and malts. It then goes all renegade on your palate, with the addition of fresh tangerine juice that adds a slight sweetness to complement the bold hop presence."; "Brewed in Wisconsin".

I have got to love a WisCANsin CAN and especially when I hear a nice, loud Crack! while opening it. I could not bring myself to CANduct an inverted Glug since my neighbors couldn't tell me how long it had been in their cooler. No matter. I still got two fingers of soapy, foamy, bone-white head with limited retention from my pour. Color was Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a strong, pleasant tangerine-citrus quality and my hophead mouth was definitely watering! Mouthfeel was kind of thin. The taste was solidly tangerine! It was a little sweet for an AIPA, but I CAN't say that I have ever had something like this before, so I'll go with it. Now, how to quantify the finish? I am going to say that it was semi-dry since AIPAs are usually outright dry, but the tangerine juiciness was lending it an offsetting sweetness. This would be really great on a hot summer's day out of a cooler. A real find!

Light gold with an orange tint. A thick white head that left some light lacing behind. Smell is citrus and resinous pine. The taste is straight up tangerine and piney hops. Really good beer that is just missing a little complexity and depth but if you want a tangerine IPA then look no further.

Tango Delta Tangerine IPA has a thick, off-white head, a clear, slightly bubbly, orange-gold appearance, and moderate lacing left behind. The aroma is of perfume-like hop oil, white bread, nectar, and juice, and the flavor is of white bread, strong, but not harsh, bitterness, pine, citrus, and sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Tango Delta finishes on the dry and drinkable side.

Just not very good. Look is cloudy and sediment filled. Smell is best thing about the beer. Taste is artificial sweetness and nothing else. No hops no malt no yeast. Maybe i got an old bad batch

Poured from a 16 OZ can into a pint glass.
Aroma- big citrus aroma with a hop backdrop
Appearance- A bright orange color with a small white head
Taste- I was not expecting this to taste as good as it did. A lot of tangerine flavor mixed with hops, I really enjoyed it.
Palate- A medium bodied beer with heavy carbonation. Has a dry finish.
Overall- A really good beer, one of the best fruit beers I have ever had.

This is the 4th or 5th beer I've had from Horny Goat Brewing Co and I will say this is the first one that I've actually enjoyed! I was actually surprised at how good this beer is.

Not sure how to feel about this one.

The taste certainly lives up to the description, there is a candy like tangerines juice sweetness that takes center stage, with a bit of malt shining through and a slightly bitter happiness playing in the background.

This is certainly delicious as is, but I would prefer a bit more balance. Not sure I'd buy this, but I wouldn't turn down a free one.

- Tangerine IPA with tangerine juice added. 16oz. can served in a spiegelau ipa glass.

A: Nectarine orange, good clarity with a vibrant rush of carbonation. Soapy one inch head, decent retention rate leaving soapy splatter marks on the vessel.

S: Freshly sliced tangerine and fresh grapefruit juice are first on the nose. Wet nature with a decent amount of awarness that is more breakfast juice then real hop aromas.

T: Tart flavor, grapefruit juice, sour tangerines peel. Lingering pine and grapefruit hopping with some sweet, sugary malt syrup glimpses.

M: Fizzy light bodied, tart breakfast juice like hold.

O: Honestly don't know how i feel about the addition of the tangerine juice, i know horny goat's M.O. is all about the odd aspect (i.e. brownie stout), but the flavor is more grapefruit breakfast juice, then from traditional hopping. Reminds me of a shandy or radler, that would fair better poolside on a hot summer day when you do not want to be weighed down by a traditional beer. While i consider this another one of their gimmicky beers, this is by far the best i sampled from them and if you treat it like a radler/shandy, then it will serve you well.

This is under rated beer. It can compete with Sculpin Grapefruit. Pleasant smell of tangelin, citrus, orange, along with taste of little bitterness from the hops with mild sweetness of orange and tangerine. Really enjoyable. My rating is usually within the normal range, but not sure why this is under rated here.

A - Amber, nice billowing head when poured; however, doesn't retain for long. Wish it was around longer.

S - Tangerines, citrus hops, sugar, malt, biscuits, allspice.

T - Tangerine juice adds a nice citric sweetness, and with the spice, earth, and citrus flavors of the hops it almost tricks me into thinking it's a maltbomb, in a good way. Well balanced, tasty, enjoyable. However, this beer doesn't scream "IPA". More like tangerine pale ale.

F - Syrupy and rich. Well-carbonated, brings it back to nice drinkability.

O - Enjoyable beer from Horny Goat. Never thought I'd say that. At 6.99 for a 4-pack of pint cans, this is a very affordable fruited hoppy beer, and a decent place to start a beer noob on IPAs.

Poured into a balloon glass.

Look: A crystal clear light cooper colored body holds up a surprisingly thick cream colored head. Light watery lacing sticks to the glass.

Aroma: Sprucey pine, tangerine, earthy hops.

Taste: A lot of syrupy sweet tangerine to begin, then faint pine and hops.

Mouthfeel: Syrupy.

Overall: It seems like the tangerine is sticky sweet and overpowers the hop element.
