There is a resin this is retired. You taste the caramel, malts, and salt. However, the combination makes it taste like you are drinking tinfoil. If it were not for the caramel flavor of this beer, it would be un-drinkable. The only reason I’m going to finish this beer is the six pack cost me $17.25.

The pour is brown colored with a light to medium body. There is no date on the can btw. The taste is reminiscent of a salted caramel. This was spot on for what they were trying to do. Cheers! B

12 oz can.
Appearance. Dark orange-brown body that's clear and topped with a modest off-white head.
While the aroma is a bit artificial the flavor doesn't disappoint. Salty caramel plays nicely with the brown ale.
Mouthfeel. Very smooth, well carbonated, near full body.

My very favorite beer ever; I've had plenty at 54yo. Please bring it back. It has a smooth and delicious flavor that none can compare to!

Taking the pastry out of pastry Brown Ale, Horny Goat provides the irresistible danish combination of salt and caramel with a sensible, drinkable, everyday Brown Ale.
Rounding the nose with those exact promises, a caramelized scent of toffee, honey and butter pecan draws in the senses even before a pour of amber brown and a buildup of off white from can construct. A generous malt sweetness is laced with cola, peanut brittle, honey and an all around all-things-granola character early on the the tongue.
A full saturation of caramel is realized on the middle palate as the caramel and cracker jacks flavors soak the tastebuds. Further elements of butterscotch, toffy, pecan and praline provide a rich taste although a simple hop bitterness brings lighter coffee, woodsy and spicy offset to a small portion of sweetness.
Medium bodied and relaxing as the beer rolls deeper and deeper into the finish, the Brown Ale retains the drinkability of Brown Ale even while celebrating the high flavors of caramel and salt for roundness. But in the end, the extract flavors seem slightly waxy and forced as the addition of caramel flavors are rarely seamless and well integrated on moderate bodied beer.

I poured a can into a pint glass, and generated a 1.5 inch head immediately. The nose had a very attractive smell, exactly like you would expect from salted caramel. The color is a beautiful caramel brown.. so far, all good. The overall taste is pleasant, and since I prefer barrel aged brews, this seems light and summery to me, although I do not think most of you would reach that conclusion. It does taste like salted caramel, with additional fruity and bready overtones. I would be comfortable if it were designated a 'Salted Caramel Banana Bread' beer. There is distant, mild bitter quality, barely noticeable, and a quick fade of the head in three minutes, with lacing gone completely in five minutes.. a tad under carbonated. Overall though, I found this brew pleasant, enjoyable, and I will purchase a six pack once in while, to add to the overall mix.

From an aluminum can, this brew is a clear amber color with a medium thick white head. The aroma has a lot of caramel...honey...and sweet grain. Full body. Wonderful balance. Not a bad brew.

Very tasty although it would be too much if you drink more than one. Very enjoyable and tastes just like salted caramel. Nice color and taste.

12oz can. Poured out a semi-opaque brown color with a very small, tan head. This beer smelled and tasted exactly like salted caramel. It was tasty, but as it warmed up it just kept getting sweeter and sweeter. I really only needed about 5 ounces of it.
