Sampled on cask at Craftpride Austin. Nearly black with molasses color on the fringes. Very little head result in a bit of lacing. Nose was primarily chocolatey and boozy. Flavor notes included dates, chocolate malt and bourbon sweetness somewhat balanced by a drier woody finish. Mouthfeel is slick and clean. I would have been interested to try this beer on nitro but the cask treatment allowed it to open up.
