Growler from Premium Draught in Houston
A: Pours with a touch of chill haze, which eventually clears up. Pale yellow/orange in color with a tall two finger white head the forms. Good retention, and the foam sticks around as a cap throughout. Plenty of lace is left behind.
S: Fruity hops up front and center. Light passion fruit at first, though that gives way to a huge apricot aroma that dominates. Light bitterness, pale malts, excellent.
T: Like the nose apricots shine, and dominate. Which gives an up front fruity sweetness, but finishes dry. A bit of pine, light bitterness and pale malts. This is really simple, but really well done.
M/O: A medium body and great carbonation. Perfectly crisp, and finishes dry. Actually really refreshing, and so easy and enjoyable to drink. All day with this.
Yep, a really well done example of a Single Malt, Single Hop IPA. Well done, and I wish the series as a whole was easier to come by in Houston, but I don't see it very often. Definitely something to look for.
