(512) Citra Summer is an American pale ale made with 2-row barley, a touch of wheat, and only Citra hops. With aromas of tangerine and lime, and a citrus peel-like bitterness that refreshingly cuts through the malts, it’s a pale ale for all 9 months of summer!

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear orange amber color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a tangerine and grapefruit aroma mixed with some lemon and a bit of grain. Along with these smells comes a little bit of floral hop as well as some bread and grain.
Taste – The taste begins with a slightly bready and citrus heavy flavor with lots of tangerine, orange, and grapefruit hop. At the same time there is a bit of lemon which gets slightly stronger as the taste advances. The bready flavors get a bit stronger all while some of the floral and a light herbal hop come to the tongue. These later flavors remain light, with the citrus flavors being the strongest and, in the end, leaving one with a more citrusy taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium to lighter in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average to slightly higher. For the style and the citrus flavors, the feel is rather nice and makes for an easy citrus sipper.
Overall – An easy drinking brew overall with a good citrus flavor.

12 fl oz pull-tab can:
Rather insipid for a pale ale. I'm scratching my head wondering who would repeatedly buy this over Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale.

12oz bottled 7/16/21, opened 8/1/21.
2 finger white head of dense foam. Excellent retention.
Glowing golden with a slight haze initially. Good lacing.
Bright orange peel citrus, floral and herbal notes as well in the aroma. Some doughy malt under the hops. Very pleasant.
Oranges, marmalade, and tea flavors.
Light body, bright entry, medium carbonation, and creamy mouthfeel.
Mild but persistent bitterness in a dry, clean finish.
Very Good.
