2022 release
Pours a small fizzy head with low retention, very dark brown almost black color
Nose plenty of roasted malt and dark chocolate, rich coffee, very nutty with pecans, sweet caramel and pecan pie, a little biscuity, tons of rich coffee, earthy nutty coffee, a bit fruity as well, little spices, vanilla barrel and a bit of whiskey in the background
Taste brings rich coffee up front with layers of chocolate, a bit fudgy, chocolate ganache, cocoa, dark chocolate, etc, rich nutty and fruity coffee, mild roast, quite nutty again, toasted pecans, pecan pie with some caramel and biscuity malt crust like, fair amount of baking spices, cinnamon sugar cookie, some vanilla barrel notes, just a touch of whiskey, a bit of bitterness and roast, mild sweet finish, a bit more bitterness lingering
Mouth is fuller bod, med frothy carb, just a touch of warming alcohol
Overall quite nice, lots of coffee and the nutty pecan character, loads of chocolate, some barrel wish there was a bit more barrel but otherwise nice.

Pour is black with a dense, tight, lasting deep khaki head.
Nose is coffee, lightly roasted malts, hint of oak
Taste is lightly tannic oak, whiskey, coffee, hint of vanilla, chocolate. Everything nicely balanced. A bit nutty.
Smooth creamy body; low medium carbonation.
