Had several pints of this brew during a recent visit to the pub. Arrived cold in a pint glass and is rich clear mahogany color with minimal beige lacing.
Aroma is toffee, some chocolate and a bit of maple syrup. I get just a hint of brown sugar and a bit of herbal hops. The nose is more on the malty side ad the ABV is completely hidden. Seems about right for a solid brown ale.
The first sip reveals an average body with smooth texture and average spacious carbonation.
Flavor is a good bit of roasted malt and dark chocolate which moves to maple syrup, caramel, and brown sugar. I dont get any hint of hte ABV and hops dont make any presence either. There is a bit of a lingering roasted caramel note that is there long after the swallow.
This is a well made brown ale with a decent amount of sweetness, but not overly so that makes it cloying and the roasted note balances it well.
A nice brown ale, that is very drinkable and Im glad to have downed several pints.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a fairly dark amber almost brown color with thin white semi-foamy head. Light lace. The aroma had some light nuttiness, subtle brown sugar, caramel/toffee malts, coffee creamer and maple syrup sweetness. The flavor took all of the previously mentioned aromas to a fairly high sweet level. Aftertaste was full of the same. Finish was fairly sticky, pretty sweet. The feel was about medium bodied. Some cloying, but somewhat acceptable to me at least. ABV felt good. Overall, borderline cloying, but I dig the aroma and flavor mostly. I missed the hop aromatics.
