A touch darker and meatier, this pale is lighter on the torso yet stronger on the mouth.

From a growler acquired at the brewpub. Sampled on August 13, 2013.

It has an amber-orange pour mainly with a pretty good sized white, foamy head. Pretty good clarity.

On the nose I am getting some biscuit malt notes but the character is more reflecting the floral hop notes. But overall it seems fairly well balanced.

The body is in the medium range.

The taste begins with a likable pale malt character but then the earthy and floral hops come in from behind leaving a slightly bitter finish. I think this is an OK beer and I like it better than other reviewers it seems.

A) Thin to no head. Bronze in color. Thin sticky lacing.
S) Earthy hop aroma. Light malty sweetness, but overall just bland.
T) Very malty sweet up front. Then quickly moves to a hop bitterness. Some sourness resides at the back of the tongue in the aftertaste.
M) Sharp and bitter. Some CO2 fizziness. Medium body. Some tannin feel. Just slightly chewy.
D) Closer to and ESB than a pale ale. Too bitter for me.

Pours an amber/light copper color with a one finger head.

Aroma is light and full of bread with a subtle hop bitterness.

Taste is light with bready malt and hops upfront. Seems balanced.

Mouthfeel is a bit dry and full of lingering flavors.

A very nice pale ale. Drinkable and just right.

Hazy golden color, some lacing. Musty buttery aroma, odd malt and hops in the nose. Buttery slickness, somewhat sweet with a tart hop in the middle. A bit watery with very little body. Odd maltiness, not very tasty at all. Finishes with more musty buttery flavor.
