Poured into a pint glass, but I get what's going on. Here's my observations.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown close to brown color with a light bar pour's kind of slim white head. Slight lace followed.
The aroma had a sweet ash to coffee roasty blend up front. Some dark chocolate rounded it out as it warmed.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a substantial roasty/coffee/dark chocolate/ashy blend. I'd say it had a nice smooth sweet and moderately roasty aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good, somewhat under. Nice super smooth finish. ABV felt on par.
Overall, pretty darn good American styled porter.
