Brew #3 on the Flying Goose flight.
Orange is color, decent cap of foam on top and slight lacing. Nice pine resin aroma which matches the taste with a touch of citrus too. A not-to-bitter, well done, clean ipa.

VT Brewfest

A-Pours orange. Hard to tell much due to the sample size.

S-Citrusy hops. Balanced. Not as aggressively hopped in the nose as some others. Smells quite fresh. Bright and balanced.

T-Citrus and floral hops with some green hops. A balancing sweetness. More hop forward than the nose lead me to believe. I get the unique Citra flavor here that I didn't pick up in the nose.

M-Medium bodied. Medium bitterness.

O-An above average IPA.

Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a slightly hazy, caramel brown coloring with a thin, filmy, white surface coating of head. Aromas of heavy cedar and oregano spiced hops, with a citrus backbone. Flavors are a blast of fresh hops, both resiny and rich, with a citrus blending throughout. Very balanced and delicious. The aftertaste is bitter and citrus tart, but very palate-friendly. Smooth, clean, slightly dry finish. Very good brew.

Stopped by Flying Goose after hiking Mt. Sunapee.

Hazy honey orange color with a white snow cap head. Fair retention and a few drips of lace clung to the glass. Flying Goose has nice glasses.

Aroma is mainly citrus with a mildly floral flair. General "light malt" malt accompaniment.

Definitely leans toward the hoppy side of balance but not by much. Juicy grapefruit hops and more general light malt extract type malt. Big, unfiltered body.

Good stuff, it hit the spot after a wintery hike.
