Formerly "Day Hike IPA".

When we were asked to create a beer to commemorate the Centennial of Grand Canyon National Park, we were immediately drawn to the Session style IPA. This style represents the perfect companion for all the adventures that can be head inside Grand Canyon National Park. Light and refreshing, with bold hop aroma and character without the biting bitterness. Proceeds for all the Day Hike IPA sales will go to the official nonprofit of Grand Canyon National Park.

Not good. The more I drank, the more I got the distinct taste of marinara sauce. Opt for the Pilsner instead. Persistent tall, solid foam, standing up in the middle.

12 oz, can:

Pours slightly hazed yellow with a creamy white lasting head. Some fluffy lacing sticks.

The smell is of caramelized pineapple, mango, papaya, grapefruit. Pleasantly bright tropical and citric notes.

The taste is of tropical and citric fruits from the hop-forward taste. A pleasant sweet caramelized malt backbone balances it until the refreshingly dry/bitter-ish, mildly spicy finish.

It is light-bodied. Stays above watery or thin. Very easy to drink. Smooth, somewhat chewy.

A very nice interpretation of a "session" IPA. Strong character for a light-bodied, modest abv brew. A good choice for a hop-forward (yet balanced enough) brew to take on a hike!
