Had on tap in Jerome AZ. Nice dark black with a thin tan head. Nice aroma of oatmeal and mocha. Good flavors roasty coffee, oatmeal, and bitter chocolate. A very easy drinker, very smooth and relaxing in the mouth. My first from this brewery, and a great way to start. One of the better stouts out there.

A: It poured a thin dark reddish black body with a slight chocolate one finger head. The head receded fast leaving a solid lacing around the side of the glass.
S: It emitted aromas of darkly roasted malts, almonds, sweet syrupy oatmeal and tons of lightly roasted coffee.
T: Initially the sweet malts coated the tongue, then there was a nice bitter coffee tinged bite from the hops. The flavors were well balanced and it ended with a bite and a clean palate.
M: It was a thin to medium bodied brew with complex flavors affecting different portions of the mouth.
D: Nice brew for a late night summer treat. Not too thick or syrupy. Well balanced flavors.
