Draft at brewpub. Dark brown, almost black, small ring of head. Big, boozy aroma, sugary, rum. taste is initially sweet, then molasses, rum. A small bit of alcohol warmth, but only 6.5%. Boozy, without any indication of any potency. A solid porter with a nice touch of sugar and heat.

Pours a clear dark brown with reddish hues, little to no head of foam of lacing.
Smells very roasty with some dark chocolate bitterness. Not smelling the English connection.
Roasted malt and chocolate malt in the taste, it is more of an American Style Porter to me. Plenty of flavour here for the lowish abv.
Could use a tad more carbonation.
Good Porter overall.

Gonna say up front that I don't like Nitro, but this works for this beer I guess(?) ... Nitro from PreFunk Nampa... Pours very clear deep dark brown but still has a nice clarity.. off white head.. Light cocoa mixes with the dry dark maltiness works.. sorta hints of coffee... light grassy hoppiness... Nice light bodied porter, but the nitro blasts out any semblance of good olfactory character... All the bones of a great lower ABV porter though.
