Pilsners originated in Plzen, Czech Republic. They are light colored lager beers whose flowery hop aroma is followed by a rich malty sweetness and ends with a firm bitterness. Mass produced American beers say they are of this style but have extremely lightened malt and hop characteristics. Our Indian Paintbrush Pilsner is a traditional style European pilsner, brewed with 100% pilsner malt. Hopping with Czech lineage hops produces a spicy bitterness as well as a crisp finish. The alcohol content is 5.0% by volume. Indian Paintbrush Pilsner is a signature beer of Cory Buenning.

09/04/05- On tap via samplers at the Snake River Brewing Company.
Presentation- Two 5 oz samplers via the tap.
Appearance- Light golden straw color pour, 1/2 inch head and excellent lace.
Smell- As much as I could sniff, I really couldn't come up with much of anything with the exception of just a tad of grain.
Taste- Medium amount of hops, very tasty grain background with a light bitterness.
Mouthfeel- Leaves mouth a bit dry and wanting more. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability- One of the better pils I have tried recently. Out of the 7 brews I had, I would probably get 2 again and this would be one of them.

Pours a healthy golen straw color with a small, tighty-whitey head. Smells of bread and butter malts with a well balanced dose of spicy hops. Tastes much like the smell with a medium bitterness into the finish. Crisp, clean mouthfeel; I could imbibe many of these in a row, perhaps without noticing...
