Can dated 5/15/19 into pint glass. Pours a clear straw-amber with a thin white head. Initial impression: yep. this is a good take on a Mexican beer. Yeast and crackers, corn, sweet finish. Refreshing and clean. Not something I'd seek out, but better than most for the style.

my can says 4.7% abv, not the 4.5% abv listed here, but little does it matter. its simple and tasty beer, i love american made craft mexican lagers, its almost become my muse of late. clean lager beer, light and summery, but with a little more flavor from the yeast than most american lagers, and not as robust, bready, and heavy as euro lagers and pils types can be, especially in the warm weather as they come up to temperature. this one is crisp but has some cool yeast flavor to it, light lime and pale crackery notes, along with a simple and tidy grain base, a light herbal element, and wonderful carbonation. its neither too much nor too little, and the flavor has some linger on the palate even though this kind of refreshes and finishes up on each sip. a light honey character, and a floral hop aspect, its light without being too delicate, which i also like. a bit of a different balance between its parts than a lot of pale lager types, a different space for the yeast, other hops, and some pale malt that isnt as pils-esque. well made beer, i have liked all the beers i have had from these guys so far. this one sort of hits like a corona, and fine without a lime for me. cool cans too!

On draught at Frontier Brewing and Taproom.
Pours the palest of the pale, good head of foam and lacing.
Smells light, light grain/corn, not much else.
Light grain flavour, very light corn, light bodied with a fairly light dry finish.
