more of a session pale than an ipa to me, northwestern hop forward as it is, it still has some nice malt support, flavorful and enriching, this is the true art of the session type, which was only beginning to find its stride before every big brewery made a mediocre soulless one and killed the style. this is very flavorful, its just low in alcohol, it almost even feels healthy to be drinking on it, and it was arguably my favorite of the three beers we had time for when we visited the brewery. a light almond and honey note to the malt, a pale copper color here, frothy headed, some lace, rightly carbonated, and liberally hopped, pine forward to me, but with a woody element, some herbal bitterness too, and pithy citrus. this one doesnt come in waves, or peaks and valleys, nothing like that, it hits all at once and stays on the palate uniformly through the finish. its freshness is evident here at the brewery, the texture is fuller for a session too which i like, and its not too light for chilly early fall weather, a four season session here for sure. simple but professionally executed, very enjoyable!

On draught at Frontier Brewing and Taproom.
It pours a clear gold with an inch of foam that is long lasting.
Smells of grapefruit citrus, pine, some cracker malt.
Taste is fairly well balanced. Nice hoppy citrus and pine, some cracker malt, decent mouthfeel.
Good Session IPA.
