its been quite some time since i had a beer from these guys, not as common around here as i feel like it used to be, this is solid, distinctive too in the pils space, floor malted grain i think responsible for much of that, and this is uniquely grain forward in that sense, a little more from it than most achieve, and even if its slightly tannic or even faintly astringent on the swallow, i like what this brings. somewhat richer color than most. brassy toned rather than yellow, with over an inch of white head with great retention, even in a shaker pint, even after it took a minute to get from the bar to my table, consistently high carbonation the whole drink. the nose is hoppy in the noble sense where its fresh and spicy, the malt is earthy and a touch sweet, biscuity and mineral rich, almost a rye note here, and old world lager yeast is apparent as well. all of this is there in the flavor, and its on the hoppy side for sure, even bitter on the swallow, but for me its the grain that defines this, uniquely complex for a pils, hints of toast, cut wood, iron, and bread crusts, even dried flowers, very dynamic and it warms up well. there is a sort of palpable drop in ph it feels like at the end, and as it warms, where this does have some sharpness as a final impression, but as much as it doesnt belong in the style, it also kind of serves to lighten and quicken what is an otherwise heavier take on pils, and it works, intentional or not. great malt profile on this, more body than most. great to check in with snake river again after awhile, or shall i say czech in...

This is an odd one to me. Overall a good beer but not what I expect from the style. Herbal and spiciness on the nose and taste. Thick, low carbonated feel. Drinks more like a slightly spiced ale than a crisp Pilsner.

L- Very clear golden beer with white head that has little lace and vanishes quickly
S- Faint honey like aroma with some light yeast and hints of lemon and bread
T- Somewhat sweet white bread with a touch of lemon flower or chamomile. Hop notes are subdued and floral with just a bit of drying and little bitterness.
F- A really well balanced feel. Carbonation is light yet there and body is on the mid light side, yet overall really crushable without being watery.
O- A well done pilsner close to a Czech or Bohemian with more floral notes, sweeter and less hoppy than the standard. I like it.

Bought at Liquor Shed in Casper. Canned December 14th 2022.

It pours a clear gold with a fine head of foam, great lacing.

It smells of spicy hops, biscuit with a bit of caramel and toasted malt. The sweet aroma could very well be honey as mentioned on the label.

The taste is noble hops with some spice, biscuit, honey sweetness, flavours all seem to mesh well.

Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Very good Bohemian style Pilsner.
