Notes: Guess you could call this a Colorado-style IPA if there ever was a thing. It’s made with only Colorado-grown hops from the Western Slope. It’s only sold in Colorado. And it’s the only IPA with a ski pass. So yeah, that makes Colorado Native West Slope IPA our kind of IPA.

L:. Pours a dark gold orange with a medium white head and lots of thick soapy lacing around the glass.

S: Very west coast, lots of caramel malt, strong malt backbone, very herbal and floral hops. Not the most inviting IPA.

T:. Orange, some lemon, caramel malt, strong malt backbone, floral, like the taste a bit better than aroma.

F:. Carbonation is ok, medium body.

O:. Very average IPA.

pretty disappointing ipa considering is an "exclusive" to colorado, pours with a nice malty head, golden golden hazy color, mild hints of pine, resin, spices and minerals, body is thick goes down smooth leaving a bitter aftertaste and nothing special i was really looking forward to this brew but it disappointed in every aspect compared to other ipa's not to mention i got a headache shortly after the second glass, bad batch?

I signed up for this service just to rate this beer. This is the worst beer I've ever had. It's like they took PBR and steeped it in light dose of hops. I drank five and had a stomach ache. I wasn't even feeling jolly (aka drunk). Colorado Native is probably just a food company who wanted to make generic products and had some warehouse.... I live in Colorado and people here will buy something if it's branded as Colorado. So... They've found a way to capitalize on tasteless schmucks. Disgusting beer.

On-tap at Coors Field, Denver, CO

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a large, thin patch of white bubbles on the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of floral hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of citrusy and floral hops with notes of pale malts. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and has some refreshing flavors of hops and crispness.

LOOK: Pours a very clear and very light amber with an all white head that has decent retention as well as decent side glass
AROMA: Pine and aromatic hops along with some honey.
TASTE: Pretty tame as IPA's go. Getting more malts here. Tart, drying.
Not bad, but not as enjoyable as either of their Lagers.

Picked this up on the tail end of my vacation to the Dakotas and environs while getting ready to fy out of Dever the next day. There is a decent, easy drinking quality to this, but as far as an IPA, it s more like a pale ale. Worth a shot, and convenient in the 24 oz tall boy.

decent, but not at all my favorite of the native beers to date. its mild to the point of almost being bland, and while i am impressed with the freshness and the balance, the hop profile tastes generic to me, and i am wishing for a little more character overall from the hops, be it aroma, bitterness, whatever, just give me something, it seems a bit more like an american pale ale, tame and safe even at that, but well drinkable, especially at this low abv, and its nice to have a new hoppy offering in this series now. there is a sweet note from the malt, which i like, honey and richer barley than it needs, but i like that element, especially with the all colorado ingredients thing, i want to taste the grain, and i do. the hops just need to be ramped up, maybe more of a dry hop profile, its fine with a little pine and orange peel essence in here, but more would make it better. carbonation is middle of the road, and the beer drinks with some substance. overall good not great, gets lost in the crowd a bit, but a good addition to this lineup anyway...
