Shhhhh. Don’t tell anyone... but this Double IPA packs a fruity punch. Soft bitterness gives way to big citrus and orange flavors, thanks to a combination of Cascade, Galaxy, Simcoe, and Mandarina Bavaria hops. It’s sure to sneak its way onto your list of faves.

cool mix of hops in here but not an amazing beer overall, a little weighty and malty and kind of old school even with an unconventional group of varietals at work, still cool to have my first in years from these guys, and cool that they are even playing in this style space, was excited for this, and surprised to see it poured into a pint glass, heck of a finish to a long day of beer drinking! also, sneaky 8 is a phrase ive been using a lot longer than this beer has been around, or sneaky 9, whatever, feel like i coined that one, should perhaps be quoted on the can, also, its not that sneaky, i get fusel alcohol in the nose here even when this is first poured and cold still, so more a marketing thing than a reality, although it is pretty low on bitterness for the style, not so heavy in body either, so maybe thats part of the thought there, but either way, youre welcome. a nice medium orange tone to this, rich rusty looking with modest haze and a nice airy inch of white head on it, actually looks pretty good in a shaker pint. the nose has hints of peach and clementine, citrusy and a little sweet, warm, lightly toasted with a honey note on the malt side, not real bitter, lightly metallic though, and more so as it warms up, apricot, golden raisin, some pine resin. the flavor is similar, woodsy at first and more old school, but then also quite fruity and dry hoppy, more contemporary, galaxy and mandarina bavaria are clever with cascade and simcoe, i get all of them in varying proportions, less of the spiciness ive come to anticipate from cascade, a little orange marmalade thing in there too with the zesty citrus and some sweetness through it. alcohol on the finish with a wintery pine note, medium bodied is all, good carbonation, lightly cheap tasting to me overall, but the hop complexion makes it relatively unique overall. would have liked this a little better in a smaller glass, but a cool effort.

19.2oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of orange, pineapple, caramel and resin. Malty and sweet taste with caramel and toffee. Sharp bitterness.

16oz can. Bottom stamp is 'BBD MAY0224'.
Cloudy, pale amber colored body. Brief lasting white head, which leads to a partial cap and high ring. Leaves behind short strings of lacing.
Aroma of orange citrus and pine hops with a toasted malt base.
Taste is sweet orange citrus and spicy pine resin. Other flavors are reminders of caramel and flowers. Shorter after taste emphasizes the heavy citrus and pine hops. Good blend of bitter and sweet.
Medium mouth feel, with a touch of stickiness. Minor tongue numbing. Good carbonation.
Hop driven brew with orange citrus and pine. Dank and sweet.
