Entered into WBC 2012 under the name "India Pale Lager". I assume this is the correct listing.

A: Pale yellow gold with a finger of white froth.

S: Tangerine, apricot, and light floral aromatics blend with biscuity, grainy, and bready malt notes.

T:Firm lower moderate bitterness with some sweet bready malt that balances orange flesh and pith. The finish is clean, increasingly bitter, balanced, and ultimately dry.

M: Upper light to lower medium body with upper medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is dry and sticky with a little astringency.

Overall: An okay beer. I'm used to a much drier IPL with more hop expression, probably from drinking many pints of Fathom and Humulus Lager.

AC Golden Brewing Company brewed up Hidden Valley Indian Pale Lager as an "Exclusive" Old Chicago Mini-Tour Beer. The beer pours a crisp and clean straw color, with a thin film of white head that features a good curtain of lace. Fresh citrus notes dominate the nose, with little else noticeable. A slight grainy flavor is met and well balanced by the citrusy hop flavors that include grapefruit, lemon, and even a little orange. Medium-light in body, Hidden Valley serves up a moderate amount of carbonation. Great to see the AC Golden line expanding, amazing beer, this one is a winner!

Cheers!
