A - Pale golden amber in body with a bright white foamy head which hangs around well.
S - Fairly understated aroma of grassy hops and light sweetness.
T - Saaz hops and earhty grain with some surpisingly noticable booze.
M - Light body and low to medium carbonation.
O - Not a great pilsner in my opinion and certainly not as sessionable as most.

Drank from my De Struise tulip
A - Pours a hazy honey colour witha white head that dies real fast.
S - Quite citrus fruity with a small amount of hop.
T - Quite a dusty citrus notes up front a small amount of hop before a sweet bitter finish.
M - Light to medium body with medium carbonation.
O - A decent beer but not typical of the Czech Pils by any means.

Appearance - 3.5
Pours a lovely thick white collar of dense white foam over a suprisingly hazy (unfiltered) body of deep gold. Good head retention.
Smell - 3.0
Rather odd aroma for a pils, dominated by perfumy, fruity yeast with a nice Saaz backnote.
Taste - 3.0
Sweet grain and powdery husk are balanced by spicy Saaz hops that provide moderate bitterness. Tart, fruity yeast shows its head in a way that it really ought not to in a pils - or at least in my opinion. Finishes dry and peppery, with noticeable alcohol.
Mouthfeel - 2.5
Light to medium bodied - heavyish for the style, with fine carbonation, a little flatter than desirable.
Drinkability - 2.5
While not unpleasant, this is not the session beer that its style suggests.
OVERALL - 3
The first thing I noticed about this beer is the alcohol - at 5.5% it is very strong for a pils. Overally it's not a bad beer, with plenty of flavour and character, but marked down for its undesirable yeast character.

This beer pours a golden, amber colour with a one finger head and lots of carbonation and a little lacing down the glass, the smell is very feint i must admit i was expecting lots of fresh grassy hop smells but no just very feint hop smells, the taste is very nice very easy to drink but quite subtle for this style not much taste of anything dominates its a little grassy hop taste and very smooth most definately a session beer that would be easy to drink more than two of.

Appearance - Amber, 1 finger of head which reduced.
Smell - Fairly weak for the style. Banana was detectable, which is a minus.
Taste - A little less malt and hops than most Czech Pilseners. I also found it too earthy for the style. Otherwise, it is pretty well balanced and enjoyable.
Mouthfeel - Pretty smooth for a pilsener, good carbonation level.
Drinkability - The fairly low hop level suggests this was designed for drinkability as much as enjoyment, yet I didn't find this as easy to finish as I'd expect.
Overall - I remember enjoying this more on tap at the brewery. Definitely not as good as Bohemian Pilzner, but at least it's better than Little Creatures Pilsener.
