I had this beer on-tap in a big taster glass at Oregon Brewers Festival.
Appearance: pretty dark for a California common; medium copper hue with a light-to-moderate haze with a thin layer of ivory foam with decent retention. Atypical, but attractive.
Smell: lightly malty with a bit of a fruity character. Not very complex, but the malt character is nice with a bit of caramel in the mix.
Taste: much like the aroma, the flavor is quite mild with a little bit of a malty character. Quite clean, though. I like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and a decent creaminess.
Overall: a little bit light in character, but free of flaws which I like. Tasty and drinkable.
