This is a new bottling of this brew from 4/4/24. The can has a miner with a pick ax on the can. The beer is a clear light golden and created a huge head that cling to glass till the end. The first sip revealed a wonderful citrus smell. This well balance brew has a light pineapple and a melon rind taste mixed with a small body of tannins to balance the fruit so it does not taste too sweet. The result is a great IPA. I think the brewery has really upped it game as this a very well-made beer which I recommend.

Look: Opaque medium orange on the pour, which generates a nice lofty white head that slowly settles to a pillow, leaving webs of lacing behind

Aroma: Pink and ruby-red grapefruit, navel orange, some papaya, peach, kumquats, pine, a little Cannabis, mango, and bready malt

Taste: Starts off with some pithy kumquat and a little resinous pine before the citrus assault begins with loads of grapefruit rind and flesh, oranges, and tangerines. Peach, papaya, and dank peek in in the middle and mingle well before pine and citrus return to close it out, along with a nice bite

Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, and lightly dry on the finish

Overall: This is some good stuff. I have always enjoyed these folks’ offerings and although had seen this one out for a while, hadn’t dove in yet so needed to and it was a good decision. This is a tasty WCIPA using two of my favorite hop cultivars (Citra & Mosaic) and they shine in this beer. A nice citrus/pine/peach/light tropical fruit/dank blend and the classic West Coast feel. 19.2 oz. stovepipe can purchased from American Market in Salem OR
$3.49
pours like a traditional West Coast IPA. Light amber with a small yet persistent off-white head. Good lace.
Citrus/floral and pine aromas. Quite a pungent blend!
Taste is more piney bitterness. It's quite bitter. Which is good for me (and this can is 3 months old).
Good medium mouth feel. though the carbonation could be higher.
An OK older style IPA. Would like to taste fresh at the brewpub soon.
