From BeerAdvocate Magazine #73 (Feb 2013):
Brewed in honor of Hoodoo Ski Area’s 75th anniversary. Nailed the style and the drinkability is through the roof, balanced but still assertive enough in both hops and malt. Brewed with Crystal, Bravo and Columbus hops … no wonder why this beer won us over!
STYLE: American Black Ale
ABV: 6.2%
AVAILABILITY: Rotating
LOOK: Black, excellent lacing
SMELL: Citrus rind, slightly dank, faint dark malt, ripe blackberries, floral, toast
TASTE: Smooth, wet, quite hoppy, toasty, dried hay, chicory, cocoa nib husk, orange zest, tobacco, herbal, mineral, green tea, dry bitter finish

Another bottle my friend brought back from Oregon to share.
My first 3 Creeks beer too.
Pours a very dark brown color, almost black, with a thin tan head.
Aromas are mostly of dark malts. Heavy roast, slightly burnt smelling, with some brewed coffee and bakers chocolate notes. Not much in the way of hops here though.
Beer starts out with malt flavors. Like the nose, heavy roast, some creamy sweetness, and dark chocolate. Finish is slightly bitter, with some pine, and earthy hop notes.
Mouthfeel is ok, but definitely on the thin side.
Overall, a nice tasting Cascadian Ale that would be much better if it had some body and better mouthfeel.

22 oz. bomber from Roth’s Vista Market in Salem. $4.69 Pours a dark dark brown almost black with a nice bubbly tan head. Aroma of piney hop and caramel, burnt oats and a bit of coffee. Flavour much the same but more towards the piney/resiny hop way..still some dark caramel coffee in the back. Mouthfeel is quite thin adds to drinkability..lingering bitter coffee. Nice Cascadian here.

on tap at the brewery
Toasted brown with excellent clarity and some tan film atop. Smells of pine, resin some sap and a little bit of coffee toasted malts. Flavor carries resin, bitterness, a little raisin character in the malt, some BO character, leather and burnt coffee. Medium on thin with moderate carb and a dry finish. I'm finding that the beer is really middle of the road with a little more leather character than others I've had.
