A - Deep amber with a brownish tint. Very low carbonation. 1 finger head that dissipated very quickly.
S - Burnt malty tones. Hint of herbal with a little bit of hay aroma.
T - Smoky/burnt malty tones. Hops don't stand out on their own, but are present. Hay/barn yard after taste. Also little bit of chocolate. Has good amber ale characteristics.
M - Very thin. Very flat. Doesn't overwhelm the pallet but doesn't hold its own either.
D - Could do this beer as a whole session. Doesn't destroy the pallet either.
Not a bad beer at all. I would purchase it again. Not sure what it is missing, but I guess I wish it had a little more punch or something. Also wish it had a little more carbonation. Being poured straight out the bottle it could be mistaken for a beer poured 30 mins ago.

A bomber at Sam's Saloon!?! Unbelievable!
A good pour created a finger of foamy, medium-tan head with good retention. The color was a deep amber with reddish overtones and NE-quality clarity. The nose had a mildly malty sweetness. The mouthfeel was medium-to-full with a mostly sweet, malty flavor on the tongue. The finish was slightly dry with a cocoa-like flavor that lingered well after the swallow.
