loving the bitterness from the lavender. gives it an interesting kick. nice surprise

Pours a murky dark orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, earth, cardboard, floral, and candied citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with cardboard, malt, earth, floral, and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of floral and hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that definitely has floral qualities from the lavender used, but there are also cardboard like aspects that make this one seem a bit old even though I don't think it is.
