The beer is hazy brown chestnut, a high off-white head, some lacing.
The smell is honey, bread and ripe apples.
Starting with hard bread, then rather sour, rhubarbs, green apples. Some harsh hay.
Medium carbonation, rather watery feeling and small body, big intense bubbles, a dry finish.
Fresh, fruity, but this was a bit off in the sour register.

The colour is dark brown, the liquid clear. The low head is beige.
The smell is light with some caramel malt and dark bread. Light clean bitter notes.
The taste is fresh and somewhat hoppy. Some dark ripe berries. It is rather light in both taste and body. Nice dry malty flavours in the aftertaste with some caramel and roasted barley. Growing clean bitterness and some red apples in the finish.
The carbonation is medium strong; the bubbles small. The liquid is light with some dryness.
A pleasant traditional English brown ale.
