A tangy, fruity, and fragrant light beer. They say it is brewed with "local grapefruit honey."

Clear golden color in the glass with plenty of head. Spritzy mouthfeel with a little silkiness. There is a light aroma of grain and honey. Rather hoppy along with the sweet edge. Sudsy mouthfeel with the aromatics zinging through the flavors. Here the bitterness is restrained but distinct in the aftertaste.

Some fruitiness that reminds me of a Saison, oddly enough. Actually one of the best honey-flavored brews I've had. On tap at the downtown Oceanside brewery restaurant.

On tap at Breakwater.

A: Straw colored with a mound of white foam.

S: Cracker and biscuit with a light sweetness and a little honey. No hop or yeast character.

T: Crackery malt with a low hop bitterness. I get a little rice. The finish is clean and lightly bitter. I get a whisper of grapefruit honey but no sweetness.

M: Light in body with high carbonation.

Overall: A simple and forgettable beer. A beer for people who don't think about the beer they drink but order pitcher after pitcher while grunting like chimpanzees and pounding on tables. It's really clean. If you told me this was a lager I wouldn't ask questions. Not bad, actually decent, just simple.
