Dark brown with ruby edges and a thick, persistent light brown head. Tons of lacing left down the glass.
The aroma consists of caramel and toffee malts along with warm booze.
The flavor follows the aroma very similarly. This is a relatively sweet brown ale, lacking the nutty and earthy complexity I love in my favorite versions of the style. The alcohol is very present throughout, unfortunately.
Medium mouthfeel with low carbonation. Oily and boozy for any brown ale.
A somewhat boozy, simple brown.
