I had this (vom fass) at the brew pub on March 21, 2006.
It was 3.50 Euro for 0.5 L.
Information:
"Hausgebruntes naturtrubes starkbier.
Sehr Stark! Bitte Langsam Trinken!"
A: Merlot-chestnut, off-white head, some retention and lace.
S: Malty (bread, dark/burnt caramel, prune).
T: Spicy (like tettnanger and/or spalt hops), dark bread, burnt caramel, jaggery, slightly bitter, warming finish. Definitely spicier than most (more hop flavour), but the malt still came through. If anything, the flavour is more well-rounded/balanced. With tons of flavour, it's a very interesting take on the style... though perhaps not exactly to style! (Score's between a 4 and 4.5).
M: Moderate to full body, moderate carbonation.
D: Quite good.
If you're in Munich, I recommend taking a hike to this place. It's a nice a little micro-brew pub, with plenty of history.
