Pours clear, copper in color with one inch head. Taste is pumpernickel bread, toasted malt, and light herbal tea hop. Medium bodied, high carbonation and sweet. Makes for an above average red ale. Would not rush out to get this, but worth a try if you like this style.

Slightly hazy copper brown with a tinge of yellow. A bone, frothy head that leaves minimal lacing. Bubbles persistently.
The nose is dominated by dried/preserved dark fruit (figs, plums, dark cherries).
The tartness in the nose makes itself heard as more of a citrusy, zesty presence early in the mid-palate. This is then replaced by a floral, tea-like, drying bitterness in the finish. Could use a bit more malt balance.
Light to medium with a very blitzy carbonation.
Interesting but not fantastic.

330ml bottle poured in a chalice.
Nice Trois Dames specimen. One of the best Swiss breweries which can be easily distinguished in a market controlled by the poor quality and high distribution breweries.
A: Beautiful deep red-amber cloudy color with a small yellow head which dissipates quickly leaving few nice lacings in the glass
S: Caramel malt and flowery hops basically. Also a bit fruity and citrus
T: Caramel malt, citrus and caramel. Nice bitter end also a bit sour
M: Light body. Low to medium carbonation. Low ABV. A bit molasses with a nice bitter "hoppy" end
D: Good. Nice beer with the Trois Dames quality

Pours hazy copper brown with huge slightly off-white head with good retention, no lacing. Aroma is slightly fruity caramel with berries, bits of yeast.
Taste is quite fruity malt, berries, slightly sourish with mild spice, medium dry finish. Thin mouthfeel with more than average carbonation.
Overall, quite good beer, I just did not like the excessive carbonation.
UPD 2 years later. ABV is 5% now and carbonation is moderate now, so I would elevate it to 4.0. Otherwise a nice Red Ale.
