I'll say this right now, this is NOT a Bohemian Pilsner. It's also a 6% beer, not a 5%er like the BA description states. At least, according to the brewery's own new and updated label. Doesn't matter what the label says if people don't read it though, right?
Anyway, I liked it, a lot. It looks and tastes like a Strong Czech Pale Lager. It's appears to be unfiltered. The color is gorgeous amber gold.
The aroma is elegant and rich at the same time. Very pleasant.
The taste definitely packs a 6% punch. Not that alcohol is that obvious, but all things considered (like the body and the bready maltiness), the experience is on a hole nutha lebel. Not many Vermont brewers know how to make a Pilsner or a Czech/Bohemian pale lager.
In a blind test, this beer is delicious. As advertised, it does not live up to its name. You decide.

Clear yellow with a short off-white foam that dies quickly.
While there are notes of light corn and grape skin, the airy, frothy medium-light body also has a slightl metallic hop presence before coming to a paper dry finish.

Can Gold with slight haze and lasting head. Gooey cardboardy caramel butterscotch old malt aroma. (it's less than two months old dated 6/2/20). Sweet cloying caramelly cardboardy with cloying finish. Light body sticky. I guess this is supposed to be malty like Budvar but it's gross and tastes old and maybe infected.

I thought that I had already reviewed this. Guess not. Canned 6/2/20. Pours a light whitish gold hue with a frothy head. Light and doughy with a touch of hops. This carries over to the taste in addition to a touch more bitterness at the middle/back of throat. It could be more focused but still worth a try.

a crisp and well made pilsener here, stronger than some, and stronger than it is listed here. the can now says 6% abv. i like it being a bit more robust here, it takes more grain to get there, and this has a little bigger of a malt base to it than a lot of craft pils types these days, which seem engaged in a race to the bottom to be as light as possible, so this one is appreciated. noble hop profile, spicy even, but a hit of cascade or something to it too, more intense and a little higher alpha than i am used to in the noble types, but it isnt abrasive or out of balance in the flavor at all. the high carbonation whisks this one along a little fast, it never gets overly heavy because of how quick and dry it is, i think at the expense of some flavor even, but ill never complain about a well carbonated beer like this. its refreshing and drinkable, and even my molson drinking dad guzzled a four pack of pint cans yesterday, so its mighty appealing for just about any beer drinker i have to think. fresh in flavor and bright in feel, perfect for day drinking in the summertime. first beer i have had from rock art in awhile.
