On tap at the brewery. Reviewing from a growler.
L - Nothing special here, but nothing bad either. Deep dark black with a thin ring of mocha head.
S - The best part! Smells of brandy and sweet, rich orange. This is the kind of aroma that greets you. You don't smell it, it smells you. And you like it.
T - Sweet. Not the best example of a RIS, but it fits my jam nicely. Very full and relentless. Sticky deliciousness. A lot of times when a brewery adds fruit and shit like that, it falls flat, but I get the orange through and through. Probably wouldn't be the most impressive beer on its own, but the ol' peel adds a lot.
F - Smooth and decadent. Not as full as I'd like it to be, but it complements the beer nicely.
O - Not a huge fan of Rock Art's flagship stuff, but this one knocks it out of the park. If you like your stouts bitter and roasty, this won't do it for ya. This is all about dessert. Delish.
