16 oz can into IPA glass. Dated 7/24/18.
Nose is sweet tropical fruit. Look is cloudy orange. Taste follows nose and says sweet through out. Feel is smooth and light/medium. Overall a very nice NE DIPA. would definitely buy again.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange red with slight yellow tint and a small white head. Smells of citrus and sweet floral hops, and slight grain. Tastes of strong citrus hops and piney hops, with some grain. Beer is light bodied and extremely drinkable for a double IPA. Overall, a very good beer.

This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipates fairly quickly. The lace just rims the entire upper part of the glass in a full thin glaze. The smell starts off with a sweet dank onion leading on to a grassy sweet bitterness. Fully bittersweet bursting with juicy citrus and piney hops just pummeling my nose. The taste was fully bittersweet through the previously mentioned flavors and running the gamut in the aftertaste of sweet to bitter and dankiness (really sticky). On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body. I’d say its a good sipper with a nice oily smooth stickiness clinging to my tongue. Overall, DIPA, its really good.

This has become my favorite beer that is accessible and prefer it to many of the more coveted DIPAs in New England. Very well balanced - light malts, hops are featured just right. Pineapple, tropical, pine flavors.

Appearance - Pours cloudy orange with dense thick white head excellent lacing.

Smell - Very nice hoppy smell, pine, little bit of tangerine with a little bit lemon and grapefruit.

Taste - Nice pine flavor, just the right amount of hop flavor, grapefruit not as much tropical flavors that I noticed in the smell.

Feel - Medium body, nice light hop bite slightly dry on the finish.

Overall - A solid beer, the tropical smell did not translate as much to the flavor for me but that was ok there was plenty of hops and pine/grapefruit flavors.

Only got such a low score from me because the can I had was very oxidized. The can my buddy had apparently wasn't, he said it was great. Would like to try it again.

Can shared by Puboflyons, thanks for the opportunity! Cloudy light golden color with a bubbly white head that leaves spotty lace. Resinous herbal pine resin hoppiness. Sweet bready malt with a hint of alcohol. Nice

From the 16 oz. can dated 5/31/16. Sampled on June 15, 2016.

The pour is amber-orange with a slight haze and a modest white head that fades.

Nice aroma of toasted malts, earth, pineapple zest, herbs, and grass.

Medium, smooth body.

The taste is milder than most DIPA's and I prefer that. Same toasted bread character with a nice earthy, herbal and pineapple hop punch at the end. Mild finish. Decently balanced and not overbearing.

Poured into a snifter/tulip/wine hybrid glass from a 16.9oz can

A - A semi-cloudy bright orange/copper, one finger fuzzy off-white head and a bit of lacing/legs

S - Nice sweet funky yeast up front, really nice tropical, citrus, perfectly ripe pineapple, slight pine sap, lots of sugar, fresh cut grapefruit with sugar sprinkled on top, sweet and dry malts/grains, lovely dank and just reminds you of everything beautiful in the world.

T - Whoa, a really nice pineapple, pine, citrus and island fruit up front, very nice sweet citrus and bitter citrus rind, very nice sweet sugar, bright semi-sweet malts/grains (with a hint of toast as well), nice n' dank, huge island/tropical flowers, nice funky yeast, and lots of love.

M - Medium plus body, perfect balance, fantastic complexity, medium acidity, medium carbonation and exactly what you dream of what a DIPA should be.

D/O - First off, wow, I mean just wow. I would be rendered speechless if I didn't have a review to write. Crisp, clean, perfect flavor, amazing balance and just the right amount of everything. This is up there with the upper echelon of DIPA's. This one is great with most foods, most deserts and ANY time of year. Whoa.

Final thoughts - I'd drink this everyday if I knew the price and lived anywhere near VT. The 7.5% ABV is perfect on top of more perfect (even though it tastes upwards of 8%). Dang.

Poured from a 16oz can into a speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a golden orange with a thick white.

Hops are bitter and herbal maybe a light lemongrass citrus.

Taste matches the aroma. Very bitter upfront then balanced out by a sweet honey malt. Hops are earthy with a light citrus.

Overall delicious beer to celebrate Memorial Day weekend.

Pours a clear golden yellow color with a pure white head.

The aroma is very tropical and citrusy with some light pine notes.

Taste follows the nose with notes of mango and grapefruit, followed by some pine. Slightly grainy on the backbone.

The feel is creamy and smooth with moderate carbonation. Slightly lingering bitterness.

Overall a solid DIPA. Not much else to say. Very drinkable.

A- Pale golden pour from a tallboy into a grand chalice. The foamy white cap makes it to a centimeter tall before dying to a small ring. Rare spotty lace.

S- Dank and tropical as the hops burst out of the enclosed glass. Mango, melon, grapefruit, peach, passionfruit and weed comes to mind. Clean as can be with the ferment and only a hint of cereal grain.

T- Dank herbs and tropical fruits with a decent edge from more oily bitter citrus hops. Passionfruit, mango, weed, peach, apricot, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, resin and pine come to mind. Some pale raw grains and yeast bread but only enough to accentuate the fruity herbal hop profile.

MF- Falls onto the taste buds with a medium overall body. Texture is on the border of creamy and frothy but doesn't approach chewy. Relatively light bitterness with mango lingering.

Rock Art with a great name for a really good sticky dank tropical IPA. Straddles that great range of ABV with a good balance in the hop profile: juicy but maintains an edge.

Poured into a pint glass. Clear Amber busy, one finger head with nice lacing. Aroma is sweet citrus hoppy. Pineapple and pine the predominant notes. Medium carbonation. Very nice tasting beer. The cuts notes lead to a nice drinking hop bomb that finished wet with no bitterness. Another solid offering by rock art. This and twin tips have quickly become must drink beers for me and I will seek them out whenever I can

This beer pours a slightly hazy golden color with a one finger bright white head. Retention is minimal with a smaller ring around the edge of the glass than most stouts have. Some spotted lacing. The aroma is the best part of this beer. Straight up hop bomb with huge notes of grapefruit and tangerine with a nice bit of dankness and just a touch of bready malt. Taste is similar but more one dimensional with the grapefruit flavor really domina, but more subdued than the smell would lead you to believe. Also a nice bit of bitterness of the finish. Feel is light with little carbonation. Overall this is a very good beer, but there are definitely improvements that could be made. The potential for this one is huge and a couple tweaks could make this world class and on par with the other VT heavy hitters.
