16 oz. Can from the brewery.
Hazy unfiltered look, amber and gold. Thin white foam top. Little bits leftover.
The aroma is all fruity hops and if course, Grapefruit. Light grainy malt underneath.
The flavor has more going on than just the natural grapefruit flavoring. Hops bringing in more fruity based flavor, both sweet, tart and bitter.
Light maltiness provides just enough balance to make it work.
Feel is light and tart, but then the malt gets a bit slick in the middle, dry finish.
Fruit added IPA's are not my thing, my wife picked it out, due to the fact she loves beer with fruit adjuncts. I didn't hate it.

A: (4.25) Beautiful. Thick foamy long-lasting head. Burnt orange colour.
S: (4.25) Fantastic. Heaps of orange/grapefruit rind. Near identical to fresh squeezed orange juice. Biscuit-like malt on the backend. Some spices too.
T: (3.75) Juicy orange and tangy grapefruit flavours upfront. A bit of spice and clove. Dangerously drinkable for 7%. Having a hard time tasting much other than the orange/grapefruit - which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
M: (3.75) Lighter bodied with low-moderate carbonation. A bit heavier/oily body might work better.
O: (4.00) This is a solid IPA and definitely worth picking up again. I'm finding a lot of citrus-fruit-named IPA's don't quite live up (taste up) to their name. This is the complete opposite. Very worthy of the name!

Dirty orange and hazy with a soft head that leaves nice lace at first. Aroma is like smelling grapefruit juice. Taste also has a lot of similarity to bitter grapefruit juice, but it's actually kind of enjoyable. Mouthfeel is good. Overall, it's better than I thought it would be.

Growler from Rt 116 Wine and Spirits. This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a hazy pale orange color. Messy lacing. The smell started off with sweet grapefruit pulp, subtle sweet grassiness, delicate floral undertones, sticky citrus pith. The flavor takes all of the previously mentioned aromas to combine nicely. Dry grapefruit edgy aftertaste and quick dry finish (more rind-like). On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable feel to it. Carbonation felt good for the style. Some bitterness does hit appropriately with a "grapefruity" rind-like feel. Overall, Rock Art says grapefruit IPA, and I’d say, yes, it is. Rind, pulp and pith all come together nicely. I’d have again.
