On tap at McGillicuddy's Five Corners, Essex Junction, VT.
The appearance was a semi-murky burnt orange to copper color with a cap of a light film of a white little head. Slid off to leave some spotty lace running here and there.
The aroma seemed a bit different for me as I had never thought Azacca hops could impart such floral/lavender/jasmine-like qualities as this beer specifically. Nice flowing smooth sweet cracker/caramel malt in the background.
The flavor presented the same sort of sweet floral to malty blend that lead into a smooth sweet hop to malt aftertaste - yes lavender and jasmine hop leafiness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, I liked it for me but am wondering if I got the right beer. I'm going to have to come back to this just to make sure I got the right one or maybe Azacca hops are presenting a different side of their hop quality that I don't know about just yet.
