On tap at Vermont Tap House, Williston, Vermont.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-murky to semi-dark copper color with a bar pour's kind of slim cap of a little white foamy head. Moderate lace basically slid into oblivion.
The aroma had a super grassy sweet smooth hoppiness flowing over a light chilled/iced pears and then a light hop spice coming across slightly like "white pepper."
The flavor brought the hoppy sweetness in through that grassiness with the chilled pears. Hop spice bitterness was slightly there. Aftertaste pulled it all together - the grassiness, the chilled pears and hop spice bitterness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt on par. Nice finish that was somewhat crisp and somewhat smooth. Not much bite in this one.
Overall, it's a pretty nice DIPA that I could have again. I like the idea of using Calypso hops singularly and realize that Rock Art did a good job of doing this.
