its been years since ive had anything new from these guys, and cool to see their beer in pint cans now, i dont remember that from the past. this has a nice honey color to it, maybe a shade deeper looking than most, and has a fizzy soda-like head in the glass that rises high on the pour and then settles back. the nose is clean lactic tang, minerals from the salt and the wheat, and just a little bit of citrus, very bright to me, lemony from the souring, not overly acidic which i appreciate, definitely a pint beer, rare for a sour for me. the flavor is nice, a light nutty coriander element, an earthy vibe to the wheat, a hint of lime or something giving it a zesty freshness, all very cohesive, not too complex, quenching, balanced, well made. high carbonation is great, round body is fuller but not heavy, and the beer is plenty dry. lightly floral as it warms, more citrus too, and i think the tartness is just right. i was never really aware of rock art making this kind of beer, but this is right now from a technical standpoint, and its good to get reacquainted with them. my wife and i both really enjoyed this can!

Poured into a pokal, the appearance was a semi-milky/pulled cloudy yellow color with a slight translucen translucency to it. A smal small finger and a half's worth of white foamy head started and glided off at a good enough pace. No lace.
The aroma had some malted wheat trying to display some sour to tart character. Yes to the "sour-ed" wheat experience in this, though I must admit, the "sour-ed" wheat was quite faint. Some lemon sweetness and a low lying salinity rides the underneath.
The flavor was a moderate sweet wheaty portion developing into some sour to tart qualities then trying to mix it up with some saline features. Aftertaste was sour-ed wheat, semi-tart and an ever so slight touch of salinity.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Good carbonation for a gose. Finish was semi-sour with a clean tartness and a nice push from the wheat, some sticky sweet to sour.
Overall, pretty nice gose for the most part, I'd come back to this.

Canned 5/28/19. Not sure how I missed it. Pours a cloudy whitish-blonde hue with a thin head into my glass. Aroma is sweet, grassy, reminiscent of summer. Crisp, clean citrus upfront, followed by a touch of buttery malt in the middle. Super clean finish. Easygoing example of this wonderful style, perfect for those hot summer days!
