Rich and chewy with a hint of roastyness. Possibly a meal in a can!

Can stamped 11/26/19 on the bottom.
This was poured into a glass mug.
The appearance was a nice dark brown slightly amber in the pour but yielded more of a black color in my glass. A slim cap of an eggshell white foamy head slid off nicely. Barely any lace.
The aroma had a nice blend of dark chocolate bitterness playing with some cocoa nibs and subtle sweet coffee notes. Touch of dark toast and roasted nuts slide in underneath.
The flavor slightly blends to the roasty to the semi-sweet and subtle bitter and toasty effects. Nice aftertaste of roasted coffee beans and grounds with some dark toast, cocoa beans and bitter to semi-burnt tones.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a subtle sessionability about it. Enough bitterness dryly kills off what I thought could have been sessionable but actually doesn't make this one a true sipper. Finishes with some roasty sweet to dark toasty and some coffee bean character.
Overall, I'd say a very nicely done American porter I'd very much so want to have again!
