A: Pours a near pitch black color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap
S: Roasted malt, raspberries, and caramel. Some lighter dark chocolate as well
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the roasted malt and raspberries and then moves into the dark chocolate and caramel. Moderately sweet, but not cloying. Finishes with lingering raspberry and light roast
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A solid chocolate raspberry stout that hits on both the cocoa and raspberry. Easy to drink at 6%. Nice dessert beer

I haven't reviewed much lately but this caught my eye. Canned 1/14/20. Pitch black hue with a thin brown head. Strong whiff of raspberry in the nose with some cocoa. Rich cocoa upfront with a touch of raspberry. Slightly gritty finish. Very easy to drink and warms the throat on a cold night.

Can to nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a sturdy dark brown close to black color with an eggshell white foamy head softly dissipating to leave some semi-filmy lace. Starting to spread out fairly nice.
The aroma had an absolutely amazing blend of sweet milk chocolate to dark chocolate layers flowing into some sweet to tart red raspberries. Red raspberries start to take the lead as it warms.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side of the red raspberries mostly through out my consumption. Subtle coffee beans slide underneath. Dark chocolate nibs play underneath in a semi-bitter to stifled sweet fashion. Cocoa powder-like to red raspberry aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Enough dryness relates to a kind raspberry tart/semi-jammy finish.
Overall, whoa! I wasn't expecting this to be as good as I thought it would be. Absolutely would come back to.
