We brewed this one special. You can only find this on tap at the Stowe Mountain Lodge. Get up there, ski the hourglass and stop in the lodge for beer. Enjoy!

From 08/27/10 notes. Had on tap at the Stowe Mountain Lodge in the Hourglass Bar. Rock Art makes the beer especially for the lodge. Apparently they sell 22 oz. bottles but they are few and far between; I couldn't find it anywhere else while I was up there.
a - Pours a nice, somewhat transparent amber color with 2 inches of white head and light carbonation.
s - Smells of light, fruity malts, bready malts, grain, and caramel malts.
t - Tastes a bit bitter, and of fruity malts, tropical fruit, and caramel malts. All were a bit faint.
m - Medium body and moderate carbonation.
d - This was an ok amber ale, but nothing special. Unfortunately it was served in a frosty pint glass and ice cold, so I had to wait a few minutes to let it warm up to be able to smell or taste anything. Probably would not seek out again.

22oz bottle purchased as a single from Middlebury Beverage, Middlebury, VT.
Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 1/4" eggshell head over the cloudy amber brew. Head fades gradually, ample lasting lace. Aroma is malty and lightly fruity. Taste is pale sweetness to start, a shot of citrus tartness in the middle, and a softly bitter close. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth, tartness slows it a bit, and drinkability is reasonably good as well.
